The Thing About The Thing

When I decided to re-enter the world of ‘the mental game’, working with golfers was such a natural choice for me because serving them in the past had been such a rewarding and satisfying experience. At the same time, I really wasn’t excited about standing out in the heat during summer months again so the “logical” move was to work with golfers who had a business since business building is one of my things. In the past when I had golf professionals as clients, talk would invariably turn from their game to their work, since most golf instructors and professionals are independent contractors. We’d apply the same goal achievement principles in it for greater success with the business side of their life.

Working with female golf instructors to grow their client base and income seemed to be the thing. Until it wasn’t. Along the way, I met a great group of women through an organization for women in the golf industry and it was full of women business owners who golfed. That felt like the next logical step. Until it wasn’t.

Several of the women I met had nonprofits and, of course, they need to be raising funds to grow their impact. And THAT turned out to be the thing I had been looking for. Creating a community where I could teach women how to grow their nonprofit’s funding by mastering the inner game of fundraising success is the best of all worlds for me.

I know that by sharing my expertise in conscious and subconscious belief systems – and how to change them – we can change the nonprofit paradigm of “never enough”. My aim is to create new ways, and new paradigms, for organizations to flourish and thrive.

In a way I feel like Goldilocks and The Three Business Models – and “this one feels just right”. 😊
